Cameroon OIC is an affiliate of the OIC international with head quarters in Philadelphia, USA. It was established in 1986 as non-profit making organization, common based, non-formal skills training programme. It was established as a local non governmental organization and placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Employment and Vocational training after a protocol agreement signed between the government of Cameroon and the OIC international.

The Auto Mechanics Department is one of the units that were created since 1986 when the centre was opened. The said unit offers training in
The Feeder Department of OIC is the starting point of the Training in the Institution. In this Department, the new intakes are required to spend three months of pre-academic work. During this time, trainees are drilled in subjects like English Language, French Language, Basic Computer Studies, Mathematics and Entrepreneurial Studies. The objective of this Programme is to impart trainees with communicative, computational and entrepreneurial skills which will in the long run help them in managing their own businesses. In addition, the above mention subjects cuts across the vocation as trainees are transferred to their various Vocational Units; taking into consideration that languages, calculation and business management are very vital as far as their interaction with the world of work is concern.

The 24th Graduation Ceremony took place on the 21st of April 2022 at the School’s premises. It was presided over by Mr Gilbert Acha Nkweti, the personal representative of the Governor of the South West Region. 870 ex-trainees of the 2016-2021 intakes graduated.
